Snow in Roswell!

Photographing Childhood. . Birthday snow. . Knowing it would be melted by noon, we adventured out in our pajamas to let Jack experience snow. He cried when I brought him in and melted on the mud room floor.  No way was he going to let me take his coat off. . . .

An end to a short beginning.

Rejection is hard, and quite common with adoption.  And we have experienced our first.  The birth mom previously  mentioned is keeping the baby after all, and I hope this time it’s a closed ride, because this roller coaster isn’t very fun. Thanks for all your well wishes and congrats. We’ll save them for another day.

What can I say that hasn’t already been said? My heart is broken for you, Perry and me too! I felt like it was meant to be and I was so excited to bind our two families together. I feel responsible for inflicting pain on you. 🙁 I’m so sorry it didn’t work out. We love you so much. You all remain in our prayers! I know it will happen again and what a beautiful day that will be!!! All my love, xoxo, Tiffany

I am so sorry to hear that things didn’t work out. this time. This is Tandy’s sister in law in case you were wondering. I can relate with all of the feelings you are going through right now. We had 3 adoptions not work out last minute before we got our daughter. Take your time processing your feelings. let no one tell you how to feel. Be angry the days you want to be angry. Be happy when you want to. Cry whenever you feel like it. And keep praying even when you don’t want to. I feel a little weird giving advice to a stranger but I hope it helps in some way. You are an AMAZING photographer, keep busy doing the things you love doing. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Where do I begin…

I guess it started back January 5th, when my friend called to say that she knew of a baby possibly available for adoption. We waited, hoped, and wondered if it would really work out.  It was a long shot after all. We didn’t know the birth parents. The baby was 5 days old then. Two days…

I am going to cry. This really is such a miracle and so perfect. I can’t wait to see you with your daughter! And if any little girl up in heaven wanted to come down and be doted upon by a loving mommy, so would have chosen you, and I’m sure that’s what happened. And yay! Luka will have a buddy amongst all of these boys now!

It is Casey the one just younger than you and I. Their 6 months will be up in April and then they can have her sealed to them. If you go to my blog there is a link to theirs and you can see her. She was 6 months old when they got her. They basically heard about her on like Wednesday and went up to meet her that Friday and the family asked what they thought and they said they wanted her and they said well go ahead and take her today and have your lawyer draw up the paper work. Crazy huh? This was after two parents backing out on them so it was such a blessing. Sometimes the Lord just has great plans for us. 2 babies will be hard but if anyone can do it you can for sure. Love ya and we’ll be thinking of you!

  • ashleyJanuary 17, 2009 - 8:16 pm
