Perry’s grandmother was ever a doer and did many things in her 96 years; travel and cruises all over. I laughed at hearing how she climbed a fence, trespassing to be able to see what was beyond it say, "What are they going to do- arrest an old lady?" She was the queen of recycling clothes and finding a new use for them. I cherish the polyester pant quilt she made us. She made quilts, made these amazing rugs out of fabric scraps- she could crochet and knit just about anything, knew all that fancy stuff. She gardened and loved birds; church service was ever part of her life; she was musically talented; I believe she must have been one of the first to scrapbook. She has books and books of her family history. And she did this all while taking care of her 6 boys and 1 girl in a small farm town.

(these are two of her pages)
She would say- "Do it! or wish you had" and Perry and I have taken it to heart- life moves on too quickly- we want to live and make memories- see how many fences we can climb to see what’s beyond.
So go out today and do something you’ve always wanted to do. And don’t forget your camera!
And not related- today I finally updated my magnet boards…

The best show EVER is starting it’s 3rd season tonight. So get your sweats on, hog the couch and enjoy another round of "So You Think You Can Dance". If dance was on TV as much as football, the world would be a nicer place.
"There is no happiness like that of being loved by your fellow creatures and feeling that your presence is an addition to their comfort."
-Jane Eyre
I had to drop something off to my brother, and how fun it was to see him surrounded by his kids, eager to hang out and help.
Boston is one years old!

He had more fun with his plate than with his birthday cake.

And with his new toys opened, there was no interest in me and my camera, but his classic pouty lip was cute.

Such a beautiful, happy family. I’m so glad we live close by and can come to back yard birthday parties, or have lunch at the Gateway, or go shopping with the witches.
I told Perry- every little girl wants to be a princess. He says, every girl is a princess.
Sometimes I feel like I’m in my own Cinerella story waiting for that magical moment when I’ll get my very own little fairy princess. Probably explains why I noticed all the pretty princesses floating around at Disneyland. So, I started taking pictures of all the girls dressed up and under the magic spell of Disneyland.
