With all the summer fires out west, we had quite the unique haze for our beach photos at sunset. Bear Lake is surrounded by mountains, but with the smoke hiding them from site, it more felt like the ocean. Compositionally I love the haze as the background is muted and the families are even more shown as the main focus. These are simple and clean.
Although the air made my allergies flare up for a week and I had some wicked headaches, it sure gave a beautiful mood to these photos. We all just didn’t want to leave.
So with fall just around the corner, and the cooler temps that come to Bear Lake, if you want beachy photos like this, you better book quick before the water gets too cold.
