Lake of many faces

When asked “what does Bear Lake look like?”  My first response was about the intense blue color.  How it makes you stop and soak in it’s saturation, and how unbelievable it is and how pictures just don’t do it justice.
But it is a lake of many faces.

On rainy days, it has a vibration that blurs the aqua blue into a soft, but subtle glow.

On fierce windy days, the waves come alive in dangerous fashion crashing like the ocean.  It roars and demands respect.  White water rolls all across the top.

On overcast days, the blue is subtle, and hidden as if taking a break from being so spectacular.

There are days when the water is so still it turns into a mirror loosing it’s intensity and reflecting the mountains.I love this lake.
